About

Built by someone who
learned the hard way.

Truewater is a one-person project, built by someone who came to financial planning later than they should have, and wanted to build something that might help others get there sooner.

The goal is simple. To give anyone, regardless of income, background or financial confidence, a clear picture of where they stand and what their decisions mean.

Because clarity is not a luxury. It is something everyone deserves.

The story

I spent years not really understanding where my money was going. I had good intentions but I also had debt and no clear picture of what any of it actually meant for my future.

It was only when I started making small changes that things began to shift. A little more into savings and a little less on things I barely noticed spending on. But compounded over years, those decisions turned out to matter enormously.

I kept thinking: if I had been able to see this clearly ten years earlier, I would have started sooner. And if I had started sooner, I would be in a very different place today.

That is why I am building Truewater. I am not a financial adviser. I am not even from finance. My background is in Medical Communications. I work with data, I understand how to turn complexity into clarity. And that is exactly what I am trying to do here.

The problem

Most people in the UK are earning, spending, saving what they can and hoping it will all add up. Not because they do not care. Because the tools built to help them were not really built for them.

Live trackers show you what you spent last month. Spreadsheets demand expertise and maintenance most people cannot sustain. Financial advisers are invaluable but expensive.

There is a gap between "I need to do something" and "I have a financial plan." A large gap. One that affects so many people who are doing their best without ever really seeing the full picture.

The vision

Truewater will show you your salary, what you actually take home after tax, National Insurance, pension and student loan. It will help you build a budget not by tracking the past, but by deciding in advance what you want your money to do.

And then it will show you what it all means for your future.

A way past credit card debt.

When you can afford that home.

Whether you are on track to retire when you want to.

What happens if you overpay the mortgage.

What a pay rise actually does to your timeline.

Not guesses, projections built on your numbers, with every assumption visible.

Support the project

For Truewater to be genuinely useful it needs to be genuinely accessible. That means keeping costs low and charging only a small yearly fee to cover what it costs to run. No big subscriptions. No upsells.

But building it has an outlay. Hosting, tools, time. If the project resonates with you and you want to help it get to launch, any contribution is genuinely appreciated and goes directly into making it happen.

But the most valuable thing you can do is register your interest and tell someone who might need this.
